Date night reaches new heights

So last night was date night for me and Rich. Their taekwondo club were gonna entertain them from 6.30-11pm. Figured a bunch of black belts were probably gonna be ok entrusted with our babies.

So we just had to decide where to go….we’d gone out for a steak dinner the night before with the boys so didn’t fancy that…cinema? Nothing on we wanted to see apart from the Lego Batman movie and we’d want the kids for that…bowling? The kids’d love bowling too…A pub? Hahaha! Taxis don’t seem to exist here and we needed to pick the kids up in any case…I did suggest Midnight Rodeo but Rich said he’d need to be really drunk for that.

It’d been a long week. Joshie had had a rough day at school so out of ideas to suit us all, we suggested instead of date night, we did something today and settled on a pre-cooked chicken and a documentary about volcanoes that we thought Joshie’d like…he did! (He’s never gonna wear shoes with laces when he approaches a volcano’s crater tho-he’s only just learned to tie them and they never seem to stay tied long!) So we were all in bed for 10pm.

And today, we headed east on the i10 and had a blast with the kids. They have much better ideas than we do….

I felt sick for most of our morning

Just hanging around

My gorgeous guys

BBQ back home and given the job of Chief Beer Fetcher, he was gonna fit that oversized lime slice he’d cut if it was the last thing he did

First off...I ain't no crafty person...if you've come for sewing tips, move along...nothing to see here. The occasional project for the kids where i tell them "to just hold it like that and people won't see that wonky bit". Altho maybe I am crafty in the "see if I can get the hubby to think it's his idea" sense. Yep! I'll admit I'm crafty there! But I am most definitely a Mom (and also a Mum as my eldest still prefers the English way to the American that my youngest has "toadally" embraced). And I love being their Mom! They are awesome kids. Chalk and cheese and peas in a pod! And they love bloody Minecraft. Building blocks, infinite possibilities, making mistakes but just starting again or trying a different way and a bit of fun altho I prefer good old country or 80's music to that soporific tune Minecraft drives me crazy with. Hence the clever pun. That and I couldn't think of a suitable Star Wars alternative.
